This looked like a pretty cool roller coaster. What is the story behind it? Why did Carowinds get rid of it? It would have been cool to have it in the park. I know it is located in South Africa now, but why?

Thanks

It used to break down a lot, the last time my butt was on it, it broke down and I never got to ride it that last time.

It was a very fun ride and used to scare me as a teenager.

To add to that it really was too short (the front spike) and had run off the end one time and hung up on the top of the spike during testing one morning when it had rained.

Maybe that's why Carowinds is scard to run coasters in the rain!

I just hate that we had 3 Schwarzkopf rides at one time and now are down to one (White Lighning, Wild Bull and Scream Weaver).

Isn't the Wild Bull still somewhere on property???

I think it could easily be placed back in the park most anywhere if so.

Does anybody have or know where I can find pictures of Wild Bull? Thanks

Wild BUll was the Byrn Curve, right? I really miss that ride. More parks need those, but since Schwarzkopf isn't around anymore, I can see why they don't have them. But, then, there is Anton's son.

I hate that Kennywood's is down currently. I know it will return, but it wasn't there on my last visit.

Here's a good picture of the PCW one:

It's hard to find the one from Carowinds.

The other day there was a picture of White Lightnin' on the main CoasterBuzz page. It was a nice photo looking out at the loop from the station. I went to see if there were any more photos of it but that was the only one.

I really think they need to add an Impulse and call it White Lightnin' 2. Just as long as they don't call it Wicked Twister.

Hmm...that could fit almost next to Thunder Road....Put the back spiral next to the entrance to the Batwing...

i miss the wild bull....

i remember being 7 years old, crossing Carowinds Boulevard to Slice's Italian Buffet to eat as much pizza and pasta i could for 5.00, then running between Wild Bull and Drop Zone, trading rides on each until closing! man those were the days....

^^Hm...I found the impulse at SFMW to be kinda boring. It is kinda different from all the others though.

I LOVED Wicked Twister! I spent that night ERT session at Coastermania a few years back camped on that. I certainly wasn't expecting to like a shuttle coaster nearly that much.

I haven't been on any of the others yet, but would think WT would be better than the straight-spike versions just by looking at them. SFMW's is just....odd.

Something like this would be a great addition to Carowinds. They're fun, they take up a small footprint, and they move people through the lines much better than you'd think a one-train shuttle would. And they're fun to watch.

I vote for the White Lightnin's Revenge name as well - paint it white, with an orange train. At least that's what I always did with my launch coasters in RCT. :P

As I recall, didn't they take out White Lightnin' the year they added the waterpark? An interesting side note, Carowinds was the first theme park to build a waterpark.
