Did anybody else see the blotter in Creative Loafing this week that mentioned the theft of a $300 stuffed animal from one of the games at Carowinds. I don't have the issue in front of me (restaurant material, I never take them home), but it mentioned that Carowinds reported the theft of a $300 stuffed animal but they didn't mention what "breed" the animal was, according to the blotter.

Now, my question is this, "Is there really a stuffed animal worth that much?" If so, which game is that hard?

$300  for a cheap stuffed animal you win at the games?? Since when were even the big ones really worth more than about $5-$10?

Haha I read that the other day and I was just as confused. The only thing I could think of was maybe it was a lot of animals totalling $300 in value. But still, that's a lot of stuffed animals.

Actually, I used to be a manager in the games department at Carowinds and those giant stuffed animals like Sponge Bob and the sorts cost the park over $100 a piece. So I could see its retail value to be around $300, that doesn't surprise me. Those animals are at games like the milk can, ring toss, and ladder climb.
