My 18th birthday was yesterday and I spent it at carowinds with my two friends =) One of which never been to the park before nor has ever riden a roller coaster. Anyways, we left around 9 and got to the park at 10:30 (It usually takes 2 hours but...I don't know..we got there pretty fast. Ha Ha.) We knew of the heat wave and that didn't phase us a bit! The parking lot was really full so we were a little scared that the lines would be CRAZY!

First of all, we went on the SKYTOWER of course. I have a phobia of it but I get on anyways. I have no clue why.

Secondly, we went on the log flume. And to my surprise, there weren't a WHOLE LOT of people in line! It ususally is like over flowing with people! That shocked me a lot. It was fun as usual. Of course.

Then we made our way to WHITEWATER FALLS. One of my friends, ABA, (the one that has never been to carowinds or been on a rollercoaster) didn't want to get ON the ride because she can't swim and was afraid of drowning...(even though we told her you never leave the boat) ha ha. So instead we stood on the bridge thing. I PERSONALLY did not know that I was gonna get smacked that hard with the water. I had a white shirt on but thank GOD I had my bathing suit underneath!

After that, I believe we went to RUNAWAY REPTAR. Now, I DISPISE this ride because not only are the seats uncomfortable, but your head gets a good banging. We went on anyways.

Then...we headed to a more calm ride. The Merry Go Round =)

Later on, after the PHANTOM FLYERS (which I thought were extremely boring), and the BUMPER CARS...and lunch...Ricochet...

I, personally, had to get on TOP GUN!!!! Thats my baby right there. I HAD to do it. Of course, I was the only one with enough courage to get on there. It was WALK-ON. I went up the steps just in time to catch the current train. (Awesome? I know!)

I never went on the GOLDRUSHER before...It was AWESOME! We rode it like 4 more times after that. NO WAITING EITHER!
While I was on GOLDRUSHER, I could see the line for the borg...SHORT AND SWEET! I was like "YalL! That line is NEVER that short! IM going on there!"

It was amazingly short. I was in line for less than 10-15 minutes. If even that! And of course, I went on by my self...

Then CYCLONE...
My non-roller coaster riding friend got the courage to get on THUNDERROAD backwards with me! (The forwards one was stuch on top of the lift hill empty...) But later on it started to work.

I went on the rapids. My bag got SOAKED. My cell phone didn't start working until 10:00 that night!

Later on, we went to BOOMERANG BAY. The wave pool..had no waves. And it felt like I was swimming in a bowl of soup. (The water wasn't cold at all)
Then a few waterslides and the lazy river until it closed.
(The lazy river isn't as easy as it looks) LOL

I rode the borg again but THIS TIME...with my non-rollercoaster riding friend! I am so proud of her to be able to ride the BORG without freaking out. YAY! But she said never to talk to her again and shes never riding it again. Ever. But I think she loved it lol.

That was the ending to my wonderful 18th birthday @ carowinds! There was sooo much more that happened:

1.The ride operators were HILARIOUS. They were copying off the "Young Joc" song called "Its going DOWN" They were like
Meet me @ TOP GUN..its going DOWN
Meet me @ the HURLER..its going down...etc...etc...

2.I rode cyclone twice without getting off.

3. Ride operators hitting on me. Cute but it got annoying some times because I just wanted to ride in PEACE.

4. A guy hit me in the face...twice with a stuffed monkey saying "My monkey loves cute girls..." Once at the end of the borg exit and then again a few hours later going towards top gun.

5. SPONGEBOB 3D closes at 2:30??!?!? That wasn't cool. So we ended up going on that lame Fred Flintstone stuff that wasn't even 3d. How disappointing!

Where was everyone that day? All the lines were VERY VERY short. I thinke everyone went to boomerang bay in the afternoon.
I couldn't imagine my 18th birthday being any more fun that it was!

We closed out the park @ 8:00pm.

I am in Lexington(336), so I live about 45 minutes from ya'll. Flyers are getting pretty boring. Really the whole park is getting boring nowadays, Carowinds needs a launch or hyper coaster and from I understand, we will get one.

The phantom flyers are boring. Their a little kids ride. When is Carowinds going to stop copying all the other parks and get something nobody else has. Six Flags's Batman is the same as Top Gun and their Superman is the same as BORG, even though BORG is sooo much cooler and funner.

Snapping is the greatest thing ever. I just learned it my last visit and OMG! I spent about 3-4 hours on that ride... lol! The ride ops were the coolest too!

Whoa...when did batman the ride and top gun became the same ride? I guess that means ninja and carolina cyclone are the same also right...and drop zone and acrophobia are the same also based on your theory...OH YEAH almost forgot one...georgia scorcher and vortex are carbon copies also...who needs both parks <_<

And one more thing, why should carowinds get a hyper coaster, I mean based on that theory it will be the same as goliath so why bother... :huh:

i mean...maybe i just don't know how to work it right or something
but i shall never get on them again.

if it weren't for the energetic ride ops..i would feel asleep on the ride...
