But they break down a lot.

^Funny, the 3 times (in a period of 4 days) I went to PKI 2years ago it wasn't down whenever we were over there, and was only down a couple times total, and never very long. Scream Weaver at Carowinds is down it's fair share too. The ride on Delirium well outweighs any downtime it has.

When I was at PKI last year it was down 2 times during the day and then I think finally went down for good towards the end of the night.

Also the topple tower by Huss was down when I was at Dollywood earlier this year.

Huss' giant top spin seems to go down at lot at PKI as well.

That's just my experience with the giatn Huss rides. Seems like the smaller versions are more reliable.

Sounds like I got really lucky then. I know the Tomb Raider ride at PKI goes down a lot, b/c first day, we did the ACE walk-back to the Beast and it wasn't ready yet, so they were going to take us to Tomb Raider, but it wasn't running. It never opened that day, and was only briefly open the next day. The 3rd day we went (a day in between), it was up with a long wait, and then down again.

Maybe a good balance would be 1 big HUSS ride and 2 smaller, more reliable rides?

Yeah I agree.

Don't get me wrong, I think Huss makes awesome rides. It just seems they have problems getting the bugs out the first few years.

Course I haven't heard that with MaXair at CP, so maybe it's just a PKI think. lol

As much as I'd like a new coaster, we really could use a nice flat ride package. And that wouldn't cost a whole lot of money either.

Screamscape confirms that Flight of Fear at PKD was going to come to Carowinds and be an outdoor coaster. When CF saw those plans I think they said "ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm no." Maybe well get a custom premeir rides coaster next year. Or maybe CF will be cheap and give all their money to CP.

Screamscape can't really "confirm" anything. That's no different than Carowinds Connection "confirming" something. Not that I'm saying they are completely wrong...

except that flight of fear has been confirmed to be reopening (or may have already been reopened), so even if they "confirmed" it, that is not the case anymore

Its already reopened. Heard they have put in crop circles behind the building as a publicity stunt for its reopening. I'd like to see a picture of that.

Guess the park doesn't have an electrical problem after all running all those launch coasters after all :)

were gonna get something rushed next year. Its obvious since our NEXT relocation ride has been cancelled. That would of been 4 seasons without any brand new rides as major additions. BORG=used Phantom Flyers=used platypus plunge=used, whatever FOF was going to be=used. Cedar Fair could of used another gimmick witht he state line thing. "Carowinds the ONLY park on a state line and the RELOCATION CAPITOL OF THE WORLD!"

I'd rather have good USED rides than an unreliable attraction that opens in the middle of the year or not during that year at all... <_<

It's like Deja Vu or something.

^^ I'd be grateful we get something. Many parks out there get NOTHING. Go check out Michigan's Adventure and see when was the last time they got something.

I'd rather see rides reused than thrown in the trash.

now now, Phantom Flyers ROCK, BORG wouldn't have been my first choice, but it's a good coaster (2nd best in the park), now the slides from last year i could have easily done without (along with the rest of the MASSIVE BB "expnasion  ). And i wouldn't have minded at all FOF coming here, helluva good launched coaster.
