First year for me at C3 too. I'd guess I better put some faces to some names?

Ok guys we'll have to do an initiation this year it looks like.

Jarvis you know what to do.

Oh, initiations are a must for newbies. Sorry, no way around that. :P :o :P

But, speaking of campfires, has anyone given anymore thought of camping there after C3?

I can't make it to C3 because of work...however, if there were a camping expedition to the park, I would definitely be up for that after I left work. If anyone else is interested PM me.

^^ You know since we are getting out at probably 9:00 (instead of Midnite like last time) I think it would be fun if we could go hang out at the camp site or something.

I'm planning on sleeping at home since I'm planning a trip to Myrtle Beach the next day, but I wouldn't mind stopping by to hang out for a while.

I wouldn't mind hanging out somewhere either, but I'm also going down to Myrtle Beach on Sunday, so I won't be camping.

Well, one thing for certain is that I won't be able to stay after the event for the camping thing afterall. I have to get back up to Kannapolis. Hope you guys have fun whatever you decide to do.

I would like to break a bit of news here and something that I'm completely tickled over. We're close to breaking 100 people for the event. I was really afraid that without a major attraction this year to draw people in, that we wouldn't have a big crowd this year. But, I've been proven wrong. As the last registrations trickle in, we could break 100.

Thanks to everybody for supporting the event.

That's pretty good considering it was only at around 60 last week. I guess people tend to procrastinate (like myself) and wait until the last minute to get their registrations in. Gas prices are $2.29 in Lancaster County and York County is at $2.34 as of 09/08.

BTW, Max I know you are aware of this but this may very well may be the last C3 ever for Carowinds now that Cedar Fair runs the show. They pretty much like to do their own sponsored events (Winter Coaster Solace, Coaster Mayhem, CoasterMania, Coaster Madness, Timbers Fest & Coaster Craze). I'm sure it will resurface in some other form and/or name though.

I'm thinking back to the very first coaster event we had at Carowinds. I remember David Mandt approaching us to organize something for the park. Was it 1999? Geez, I can't remember. Of course I immediately handed you the reigns as you seemed to be a bit more creative than me with stuff like this. And you've done a great job with the event over the years I must add.

How many people attended the first one Max? Wasn't it about 30 people. It'd be nice to somehow commemorate each of the C3 events with a collage of photos sometime.
