For quite a while after the park closed, the gate was decorated with clowns, and I believe the Ferris Wheel stood for a few years. Now its a little harder to locate (I have a friend that is going to go look at the area when we go down for the Pavilion's final day). There is a camp ground there now. It is on the highway (ocean side) going south.
I never got to go there, unfortunately, that I ever recall. I went by there plenty of times after it was already closed. The park was just unfortunate, with accidents and what not, and I really wish that the owners of Blackpool had been able to keep the park and keep it open. Could you imagine a Blackpool U.S.A.? That would be great!
Myrtle beach area has had quite a few small parks. Unfortunately, they've also lost quite a few, and now are losing thier most popular.
