It's been awhile since i been to carowinds. The last time i visited the park was in july. My favorit ride was Top-gun, not only for the excitment i got when i rode the ride, but the very nice team leader that worked it. I believe his name was Bayard?!? Now he doesn't work up there! does any one know what happend to him, and why doesn't he work top gun anymore? He was such a good TL.

He works in another area now.

I saw him over at AFX on the 16th.

If Bayard(Carowindsman) isn't running Top Gun, it probably isn't being run too well. I'm not just saying this because Carowinds is "my" park, but Top Gun has been the best and most efficiently run floorless we've been on. We have been on six different inverted floorless coasters this year and Top Gun, by comparison, is always the fastest turnover of any I've ridden and I credit much of that to Bayard's enthusiasm and interest in making that happen. If it is the CF way to move people about and not keep your best operators on certain rides, like Top Gun, I would be surprised. Maybe they are shifting him around so that he can run everything in the park and promote to a section leader, or eventually an assistant GM or something...

Excuse me, I meant INVERTED(track over top) . But isn't Top Gun still referred to as an INVERTED FLOORLESS, or is that not correct? Remember, I'm a relative newcomer to coaster terminology. We have ridden Hydra and Kraken in the past year and I've heard them referred to as FLOORLESS. Top Gun still hasn't got a floor to it... Personally, my family likes these types of coasters better than any other types and I'm inclined to believe that even the shorter track models deliver greater thrills...

Hey, does anyone know if we can still take back to back re-rides on Top Gun, provided there are empty seats? (They did not allow us to do that at DP this summer, despite the fact there were plenty of extra seats after every ride on each of their big coasters - the OPS told me that CF didn't allow it and to walk around for extra hops)
