I know many of you don't read over on ThrillNetwork (and that's fine), but I wanted to share this with all my CC friends...

*Update*

I lost another 5lbs this week. I've lost a total of 36lbs since mid-2005.

My energy level hit like a new high this week and when I rode my bike yesterday (in the low 50's no less)(layering, it's great!) it was like hills that used to be hard were like a breeze. I was flying around the neighborhood.

I can't wait until Spring now to see what I can do on Saturday mornings! I used to ride 30 -40 miles each Saturday back when I was around 200.

I know I'll sound like someone on Biggest Loser, but it really CAN be done. You can lose weight, with little changes like getting off the couch and just doing simple things like more water, more exercise, smaller portions, etc. Just take it one step at a time and before you know it you'll be able to ride an Intamin!

Hey, maybe I should write a book: How an ACEr lost weight. LOL

I know some of you had mentioned that you could tell that I had lost some weight and thanks for the enouragement!

My goal is to get another 30 off before Spring and be able to ride an Intamin hyper again. lol

If you'd like to read the entire journal and see how it started go here: http://www.thrillnetwork.com/boards/showthread.php?t=33172

This is me around my biggest @ about 300 lbs.

Congrats!

I've yet to be denied an intamin hyper or giga, but I need to lose weight by next year as well. I'm planning to join the nearby fitness center, and I'm trying to change my diet.

I will be going back to CP next year, haven't been since 2004 (and I haven't really gained a lot of weight), just after the Millie restrictions were in place, and I fit. Thankfully, cause I waited over 2 hours (NEVER AGAIN!).

It is nice to see someone saying "I'm losing weight. I want to lose weight so that I can ride coasters again" instead of "I hate Intamin! They don't make rides for us bigger folk". It isn't Intamin's fault I eat too much. It's mine, and I'm the one that can change the equation.

^ Exactly.

And it's really more of CF and Six Flags thing IMO. I understand being cautious, but I think they really went overboard on the restrictions.

I rode Milly back in 2002 and was probably about a 38 or 36 pants and had no problem.

I want to be close to that when I go back.

It's always baffled me though how different each manufacturer is. One will be really easy for you to fit in if you're heavier (like the new Voyage trains) and then you've got some where you have to be stappled in to fit.

I was so excited to finally ride a claw. Too bad it wasn't that great.

Our state fair used to bring in a Claw, which was really good, and Knott's Afterburner was great, but our fair had the Freak Out this year (the 16 person claw), and I just barely fit. They had to move me, staple me, and even though that was uncomfortable, it was an amazing ride. Those are more due to the chest for me than the gut.

Meant to post this earlier, but this is a pic of me from Saturday to show you the comparison.

As you can see my jeans are about 2 sizes too big now. lol

Hopefully by C3 VI no one will recognize me. lol

This isn't a huge update, but I've lost 44lbs so far now.

But this week I wore a pair of pants that I haven't worn in 2 years!!!

My waredrobe keeps growing every day.

This spring I might be down about 2 or clicks on Top Gun.
