Paramount's Carowinds has hired Bob Hohenstein as the park's vice president of marketing.
Hohenstein oversees all marketing functions including advertising, promotions, public relations, corporate sponsorships, and group sales for the 108-acre theme and water park.
Hohenstein comes to Paramount's Carowinds, a theme park off Interstate 77 at the North Carolina-South Carolina border, from Paramount's Kings Dominion in Richmond, Va., where he was marketing vice president.
He succeeds Karen Michelson, who left the company to pursue other opportunities.
Paramount's Carowinds is owned and operated by Cedar Fair Entertainment Co. (NYSE:FUN), an Ohio-based amusement park operator.
Cedar Fair bought Paramount Parks Inc., parent company of Carowinds, in a $1.24 billion deal in July from CBS Corp.
Under the agreement, Cedar Fair acquired Carowinds, as well as Paramount Canada's Wonderland in Toronto; Paramount's Great America in Santa Clara, Calif.; Paramount's Kings Dominion in Richmond, Va.; and Paramount's Kings Island in Cincinnati.
