I was thinking something along the lines of the Action FX Theater. It plays a continuously looping video that we call the pre-show. These monitors are located in the waiting area before loading the ride. Alot of the rides at Carowinds now have these monitors throughout the queue lines, but they only show random Paramount related stuff and music videos.

In my second post, I pretty much outlined how the monitors would be used. Very similar to the way that BGW does with the Big Bad Wolf. Also I feel that there is plenty of room to build or expand the station house(back towards the midway) to accompany any other pre ride show ideas. I know that the station now is really cramped for room.

I could envision the whole station being revamped and added on to. Instead of it's look now, they could rebuild or remodel to look like an old passenger station, with a hint of spookie-ness to it. They could even have the ride techs dress up like old RR conductors.

The ride itself wouldn't need a whole lot done to it. Maybe recover the helics as I said before, and definitley spice up the finish into the tunnel as said before. Paramount could probably decorate the track a little with some old RR signage and maybe even a Stop signal as your entereing the tunnel. This would simulate the effect of a runaway train passing a stop signal with a headlight meet in the tunnel with the Ghost Train :o

I could see this making one of the new coaster shows as a revitalization effort.

One more thing. If this were to happen, I would hope that they would consider installing new trains. The one's now are just to cramped.

Actually I think the current Goldrusher trains are my favorite of all the Arrow mine trains. They are a little cramped, yes, but that would be quite an expensive overhaul.

I Agree. Arrow Mine Train Cars are very stylish.

There also my favorites, along with Dollywood's old Thunder Express Cars.

I like the trains, I just think that we could use a little more leg room.

Now this is a good thread. Take an old classic ride and spice it up. Adults and the kids would go for it. Great idea and theme.

If your only 4foot 7in, then you really can't understand a man's point of view. Anyone over 5 and a half feet and 120 pounds probably would like a little more space on these trains.

I like the cars, but they are very cramped(so is the cyclone's). I can get into the Scooby-Doo's Ghoster Coaster easyer.

Bringing back an old topic from the past.

Now that Cedar Fair is in control, maybe they would look at spicing up the Gold Rusher. I know that Cedar Fair doesn't do much in the way of theming, but it never hurts to wish for it.

Here's a link about the Joe Baldwin Legend and the mysterious Mako Lights.
