General Carowinds discussion

True, but look at the CF parks (Pre-Paramount buyout) that didn't have a hyper and why:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that would only be MiA & Geauga (who had one planned in the six flags days, but was scrapped), wouldn't it? And I can see why, they don't have the attendance for it.

But that is the only CF park that doesn't have a 200 footer. Granted, Knott's 'hyper' is non-traditional, but the park has space limitations.

I wouldn't be too suprised to see some morgan hypers pop up eventually at a couple Paramount Parks.

But I think Carowinds needs major thrill flat improvements myself.

Yes they are definately lacking in the flat department...I would rather get flats for the next two seasons along with general improvements before I see a new coaster at the park. The park does already have a really well rounded coaster collection so they can hold off on the coasters for a while. I really would like to see more rides that are found at a county fair...in the county fair section. Like more spin and puke rides, and they could maybe add some to the boardwalk. Then we can get a coaster. Which i am hoping will be a good stand out coaster...no matter what type it is, i hope it draws more people to the park.

The park needs a hyper. No park has a good coaster collection with something fast and tall (is what I hear from people). Carowinds also needs a good sit down looper coaster like a floorless coaster.

Being from the Cleveland area, we are not susprised to see Steel Vemon being removed however there is a good chance that it might wind up going to Carowinds, however it might make sense for Cedar Fair to send it to Dorney or Canda's Wonderland. But only time will tell.

Oh, its comming to carowinds...all I had to do was make some exec. decisions and pull some strings to get it there!

I honestly hope you're right :). I know I'm stopping by to process my Maxx pass, and if I move to Florida, I may stop on visits to home after I move, but I need something to get me to want to come back to Carowinds, besides Top Gun.

They need something launched.

CW has 14 coasters........14 lame coasters but nevertheless they're coasters. I doubt they would send Steel Venom there and Carowinds dosent have a launcher period. CW can kiss my @$$. So can Shapiro.....random.

I hope SV comes to Carowinds. I had a chance to ride Wicked Twister at Cedar Point but I chickened out. It would also be a great addition being the tallest and fastest ride in the park.

Yes, it would be the tallest and fastest ride in the park, but is it going to make more people come to the park and get more returning customers? Plus if it does go to Carowinds it will be their second used coaster thats a BIG coaster in a row. I know size wize it isn't big but it definately isn't a kiddie ride. I agree a sit-down looper would be a good choice for carowinds, but they do already have Carolina Cyclone, which in my opinion is the smoothest arrow coaster around.

I still hope it goes to Carowinds. Carowinds is my home park its much more peaceful than the trash that is KD and much more enjoyable to go too.
