I was just wondering what everyones overall feelings where about the upcoming 2007 season. I've been reading all the posts, rumors, speculations and such and was just wondering where you guys see it all going.

Pop,
Why didn't you vote on your own poll?

Considering that we aren't getting any major investments, it will probably be an average year IMO. With the past few years being over 2MM, is pretty darn good.

I think this season will be interesting due to the transition to Cedar Fair management. The park has already gotten started on a good note with the lower admission price, plus it will be nice to see just "Carowinds" on everything again.

I haven't voted yet cause I'm kinda biased, lol. I think its going to be the best one yet with the cedar fair by out, all the inside changes, the rumors and hearsay, its all going to attract quite the crowd I'd think.

At least for the first few months.

If the park can keep a certain kind of ''newness'' then I'm sure the crowds will keep coming back. And of course, more crowds, more money, more shiny new stuff.

So here's hoping the crowd doesn't die down after a month and everything goes back to ''normal''

:) I think everyone will welcome the change because it will be seen from all angles and the "scheme" will make ou want to stand at attention :)

It'll be an average to slightly better year. The so-called lower admission doesn't make much difference to most on a regular adult ticket, after all it's a no-brainer to buy some type of season pass if you live close by. The Frenzoid was never a real popular ride in the last couple of years it operated, so that will have no net effect on the crowds. I will be curious to see how things transform, but with nothing really decent added new in the last few years, we'll save our money for other parks, as said earlier, and revisit the subject for next year, 2008, depending on how things develop. It's going to take CF a little while to really "know" their new parks. Personally, I feel that Carowinds is an important property to CF and that in time some great things will happen!

In other words its gonna look like the american flag? or the confederate flag?? I would prefer the latter of the two ;) !

Now, now Jarvis. Tisk...tisk. You know how much crap S.C. got for flying that flag at the capital. Imagine what would happen if C.F. painted the tower like that.

You just ain't right! :D

I think this year will be better. It's going to be cleaner and the admission is lower. They're getting a new show and Frenzoid I mean Southern Star.

The show is not new. It has been used at another CF park before. Other former paramout parks are also getting the show. Don't forget our new trash cans!
