I'm still torn on getting a pass this year... A Coaster like this would definitely convince my 3 passes to come into existence.

The Carolina Cyclone is not smooth at all. It is extremely bumpy but a fun ride I do agree.

I like the ride i just dislike how people behave there and how dirty is but then again they were the first park ive been too and the first park after i went to CP.

I agree the Cyclone really isn't that smooth but is pretty fun.

It really depends on which car you ride in.

I guess so. Sometimes it's smoth and sometimes it's rough.

Just to confirm my thoughts...
IF... IF we get Steel Venom, it would be 2008, right? If so, bleh. I want a NEW coaster. Not a new, USED coaster!

Meh, I dont' care how used it is, I like those coasters, Carowinds needs a launch, and I'd love to see it go.

as much as i wouldn't mind having steel venom here (or any launched coaster), I would much rather see something a bit more unique or actually new or different or something. I mean, Wicked Twister was great for the couple rides I got at CP, but I imagine I would quickly tire of a coaster like that at my home park.

I said Carolina Cyclone was the smoothest ARROW coaster around. Anyhu, there would be some good if steel venom came to carowinds. First off it would be a new ride that is uniduw to the area, with no other parks that somewhat compete with carowinds having one. It would be a new ride for Carowinds and as far as the general public knows is Brand Spankin new. It has a small footprint, so it wouldn't take up a lot of space but would fill the gap between borg and the next big coaster they get. On the downside, I think it is pretty much a one trick poney and people could tire of it quickly, but launch coasters are at a lot of parks so it could stay for a good while as long as maintenance wasn't terrible.

How about you do everyone a huge favor the next time you try to post and make it not look like a train wreck.

Cyclone, while a decent ride, is no where near as smooth as Tennessee Tornado. Not even close.

Well Tennesse Tornado isn't the same tpe of coaster either. Carolina Cyclone is a traditional corkscrew looping roller coaster while Tennessee Tornado is a Spyro (I think thats what arrow called it) looping roller coaster because of a slightly different track design. So maybe it isn't the smoothest "Arrow" coaster, but it is the smoothest Corkscrew roller coaster.

I personally love the Cyclone. It was my first coaster and I would be VERY upset if it left the park.

I'm too out of the loop on the coaster world now, so i'm very confused on this whole "Steel Venom" thing. Can someone clue me in on it?

There's a RUMOR (or a comment that was made on another coaster website) that Steel Venom, TCFKAS (The Coaster Formerly Known as Superman) at Geauga Lake might show up at Carowinds. Right now, the most popular train of thought is that its going to Dorney Park. I really don't think that its going to Carowinds....
