HMMMMM I found this interesting when i drove by carowinds are they painting Skytower?

I noticed that when I drove by there yesterday. Someone posted on here a while back that the Skytower would be getting a new makeover for '07, Cedar Fair style...

IN another posting on here I said the sky tower was getting a makeover. In fact a big one. The art renderings are very cool. The entrance to the skytower has been moved and the reason will become obvious for those who are there on opening day.The name change is near completion inside the park with a few here and there that hasnt been changed. The "STAR" is a little behind in construction so will be interesting if it will be ready for opening. A new "eatery" is also behind in opening and the new "dining" choices are growing.

Do you know when the sign out front will be changed (the main one on Carowinds blvd)?

The sign will be changed but the discussion on when is the quetion..... I understand from one that the sign replacement has been order. I dont think its a complete replacement but something like the winterfest retrofit sign for a temp fix. The Paramount Theatre sign has been removed and has been renamed. The sign is sceduled to be hung soon.

I was there when they ripped off the Paramount Theater sign..kinda sad. But alot is changing with and inside the park. I wish I could say but you all will see opening day!

The Skytower is getting a patriotic theme to look like Knott's. Stars on the top, a flag motif on the cabin, and red stripes all the way down.

Will this change be a future change to the main entrance area (North Gate) to the park?

Drove past the park yesterday.

The "pole" is currently half white and half red/white. I guess we might get Winterfest back after all because that thing is going to look like a giant candy cane!
I can't figure out though why they aren't painting the red stripes straight down.

No change on any signage yet.
