Funny you should say that. There was talk of one going somewhere in Gatlinburg at one time. A friend of mine in the amusement business said that talks had been in the works. This was almost 2 years ago though.......so, I'm assuming the deal didn't take.

Gatlinburg doesnt have an alpine coaster but they do have the alpine slide. Of course its milder than the one in the video. It is located at Ober Gatlinburg.

I took this photo while visiting the slide back in '04. I was lucky not to have any slow pokes in front of me and went full speed all the way!

I only rode in once and got stuck behind quite a few slow pokes. Didnt bother to try again. It was enjoyable even going slow though.
