So I went over to Heritage USA just to drive through and see what it looked like.. Haven't seen it at all ever really... the last memory I have of it was being a tiny kid and seeing the train and christmas lights. So I really had no clue what it was in nits glory days.

But it got me thinking about finding other kool things around. So I was thinking... Carowinds does have a bone yard correct. If so... where is it.. and is it seeable for the public?

It's very visable.

Just ride Drop Zone (facing the back of the park). You'll see it all there.

There's a boat or two from White Water Falls, there's a Rip Roarin Rapids boat and some various odds and ends out there.

Nothing as vast as what SFOG has. I think some of the old stuff is actually in the warehouses back there, but that's just rumor.

Maybe at C3 we could do a backlot tour? *hint hint* Max

There isn't a whole lot of stuff for the Boneyard for Carowinds, is there? They've actually not kept a lot of the stuff that no longer operates there at that park (which I think is at least one positive of losing rides, they've went elsewhere).

Last C3 we did do a walk through some of the old warehouses. Not on purpose of seeing old stuff, we were taking a behind the scenes tour of the preparations for the Halloween event and walked past some buildings and old stuff.

Frenzoid was seen all last season from Drop Zone in this "boneyard". Didn't someone mention something about seeing new blue paint on it last year?

When did you go to Heritage USA? I was there for about an hour on Sunday, March 25th. Also, Evolution is awesome!

Just in case anyone was curious...

Here's a shot of the bone yard.

This is probably a couple years old though.

That is pretty old. The helix is still covered on Cyclone.

Those are trees. The Google Earth image of Carowinds was just updated a couple of years ago. You can see Borg now.

It sure doesn't look like trees to me. Last I checked trees weren't in perfect helix shape or shiny like the roof of the station.

I would love to know where you see this "roof". The Google Earth Image has Borg in it. How could the helix be covered? Goto Google Earth to see for yourself.

What you see is the wooded sides to the helix. This is actually accurate to what the majority of the park is today.

Thanks for clearing that up.
