Fact is, most Carowinds employee don't care about the rules, or their job because they know can they get a job somewhere else.

If that's the attitude of these employees, then the park would be better off without them. I can't believe someone would actually disagree with that. If you can't supervise your employees, you shouldn't be in the position of a team leader, period!

Problem is if Carowinds gave warnings for every first time offender and fired second time offenders, they would be even shorter on employees than they were to start with. Last season, Carowinds never hired even employees and took forever to replace the ones who quit or got fired. More people and things go wrong than any guest sees....

My original post was not an attack on Carowinds employees, slickridz01. In fact, the majority of the park’s employees that my friends and I have encountered over the years have been exceedingly professional, courteous AND they had no problem adhering to the park’s established uniform guidelines. This includes employees under the Taft, KECO, Paramount and now Cedar Fair umbrellas. Calling attention to individuals who are in blatant violation of company policy is not a bad thing. And yes, a member of our party DID present the issue to a Guest Relations rep.

We have repeatedly visited every park in the Cedar Fair chain as well as the five former Paramount Parks, and this is the first time I have seen an on-duty uniformed employee so deliberately violate dress code. And we’re not talking a military dress uniform here; how bloody difficult is it to correctly wear khakis and a polo shirt?

The bottom line is that the actions of the Hurler platform offender and those new-hires parading through the park with their pants falling down are simply unacceptable. If they do not have enough self-respect or pride in the job they have been hired to perform, they will be eliminated and replaced with those who do. Period.

Furthermore, the TLs are fully responsible for the individuals over whom they govern, and they are negligent in their supervisory duties if they tolerate such behavior. If they allow inappropriate dress code violations to go unpunished, what other possibly unseen violations are they disregarding? To the GP, this can easily make them wonder about the safety at a park that would allow its employees to be slack with their uniforms, or pay more attention to their co-workers /friends than the rides they are operating.

As for posting the photo on the 'net…. this is the perfect way to zero in on the issue –-be it a great shot of a ride, or a slacking employee -- without lengthy descriptions. As swampfox43 said, Photos can speak a thousand words. Indeed.

Now pull up your pants and get back to work.
And pay attention: Customers are waiting to ride …
