General Carowinds discussion

My sister recently went to carowinds with her school for a chorus trip
Let me remind you that they are only in 8th grade. 14 and 15 year olds.
And they almost got kicked out of the park by secruity.
Here is what happened.

They went to chick-fil-a. My sister said the cashier already had a nasty atttitude. There was four employees doing nothing in the corner. Her and her friends gave their order and sat down. They messed it up so they went back to tell the cashier. The girl gave them atttiude. Then called her friend over and told her friend about what happened and her friend started telling them they didn't mess up the order (she wasn't even there!). And that they can't prove it. They don't have a receipt.

My sister and her friend kept saying they ordered something different. The cashier called her manager of the place. (I didn't even kno they had one for that small place) Told the manager that my sister and her friends were cursing and yelling at them.

The manager then called secruity.

The Chaperone told the the manager what happened. Then the manager called the park "security" (rent-a-cops) The rent-a-cop toke the cashiers word for the situation. Then told me sister and her friends that if they went back to chick-fil-a area. they would be kicked out of the park. All because they went back up there to complain about they order. Now my sister dont' want to go back to Carowinds for a lil while.

And the sad thing about it is after they got escorted from the chick-fil-a area, they turned around and the chick-fil-a employees were dancing in the window saying "HA ha suckers" and stuff like that. That's ridiculous they had to pick a fight with 14 year olds. My sister said thoes girls looked like they were 20. Come on now.

I love carowinds, don't get me wrong, but the employees overall aren't the best around. But hey, what can I expect? Its not Disney World.

But I think Carowinds should care about they guest more than they employees. Getting kicked out because of complaining about your order is horrible. That manager must think they employees are angels or something. Strike Two Carowinds. Strike two. One more and I'm out. (j/k)

Yeah, many of the employees this year seem very ghetto.

I'd think they would hire better people these days, but seems like they'll take anyone with a pulse.

That is completely unprofessional. It seems that, of all the parkworkers, the food service workers look like they hate their job the most. It seems to me that they're just there for the paycheck.

Ghetto is my word for it also. Its like someone forced them to get the job. Don't take their sorry lives out on the guest. I dont think they needed to go to the point of kicking out 14 year olds from the park completely. Sheesh.

What's it got to do with Paramount...Paramount or Cedar Fair, they both hire local teenagers desparate for jobs who really don't give a *)%$ and just want the money ;) If I worked at an amusement park I'd be thrilled with my job and try to make the best of it, i mean, come on people, you're working at an AMUSEMENT PARK, a place of fun, why don't you start acting like it and take some joy in your jobs. *steps off soap box*

Even though you may think that an amusement park is the best job that a teenager can have, you have too understand what working at a themepark is really like, because standing on your feet for 10 hours and dealing with disrespectful and unruly guest in the heat can take a toll on you, especially if that is your first job and dont know what to expect, because when i first started i thought that i was going too have the best time of my life, but after i got cused out and was hot and tired on my second day, my whole outlook of my job changed.

So yea it was wrong for them to do that too his sister but dont just think that we dont give a S**t its just that sometimes working there can put a toll on a young person. Especially if you have too ride the city bus!!! :)

I work at Target. And I hate standing up on my feet for 8 hours a day scanning things and dealing with dumb customers making "life decsions" at the register choosing between the green dress and the red dress but I still have to put a smile on because I choose to work there. Nobody forced me there. My decision. And if I had the attitude some people have at this park, I'd get fired quickly. I guess it all depends on how much the management actually cares about how the employees are at work.

Someone will look into your comments. If the person who made the comments conerning the employee will email the park and their guestrelations department will follow up.
