What do you think is the worst ride or coaster in Carowinds?

I say Hurler because it kept me out of football practice for two days...

Wow you must be a tough football player.

Anyway everyone here already knows what I'm going to say.

Vortex.

Hmmm, I am going to have to say Richochet, it just isn't as intense as other wild mouse type rides I have ridden. And if you are a football player and hurler kept you out of practice.....well....ummm...thats pretty sad.

I agree with Vortex. I hate to put any B&M in the "worst" category, but it's an easy choice!

Man, you people are just sick. Sick, I tell you. Vortex isn't that bad. Of course, I also like Ninja at SFOG so maybe I'm the one with problems. Hurler is an even stranger choice. Sit up front, and it's smooth and filled with airtime. Not the most exciting layout, but it's fun. It's my 2nd-favorite coaster there to Top Gun. Well, except for that 2-year stretch where it could barely make it to the station, but it's back to it's old self these days after some TLC. I'll admit to not riding in the back in the last 2 seasons, maybe it's bad back there.

Carowinds' worst coaster, hands down, is Reptar - aka Mini Mind Eraser. I think the only smooth piece of track on the ride is the one in Reptar's mouth. It's slogan should be "All of the pain of an SLC, with none of the thrills!". Replace those ear torture devices with a lapbar, ala Saturator, and I'd probably like the ride well enough. Well, they could make trains that followed the track properly, AND engineer said track to proper tolerances, but this IS Vekoma we're talking about here.

Of the adult flats, I like all of 'em, especially since they've eased up a bit on the pressure on Frenzoid's restraints, so I cant' really knock on any of these.

The worst non-coaster experience would have to go to...Dora's Azul Adventure. I'll never forget when we were there for the Flyer commercial shoot / preview day when the ACErs got to experience that for the first time. I believe "incredibly cheesy" was mentioned more than once. I realize I'm pretty far from the target audience here, but still.

I'm torn. I don't know which ride is worse - Dora or Reptar. Both numb my brain in different ways. Reptar is more of a physical assault, so I guess I'll give it my vote for dead last.

But Ken, I distincly remember you saying Sunday that you wouldn't marathon on Vortex. ;)

There's not really a terrible ride at Carowinds that I can think of IMO. None are really overly painful either.

Vortex though does give me a wedgy (sp?)

Alrighty, I'm gonna have to bite here....

I've made my opinion quite clear over the past few years but just just reemphasize it one more time ;) ...BORG, is clearly the worst ride in the park for me. And coming in 2nd would be Reptar, the other Vekoma ride.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again, "you get what you pay for", and when you pay for a Vekoma, you get a substandard product where you feel the difference.

I concur with Borg clearly being the worst of the regular (non-kiddie) coasters. It really is overrated. Reptar I'd lump into the kiddie category, and in that category I don't think it is worse than the Flying Super Saturator. That one has crazy long lines, and they are sloooooooooow, since only 4 people can ride at at time. The Dora ride sucks too, but so does TV Road Trip. At least I saw an albino squirrel last weekend on Dora, my daughter thought that was cool (it was the highlight of the Dora ride).

I can hardly believe that anyone would say Hurler is the worst! It's probably my favorite. The only thing bad is the ghettoness that regularly occurs there, but I can ignore that for the most part.

I have actually never been on Vortex but im not a fan of stand ups(the thought of shockwave at KD makes me cringe). Any coaster that causes me pain is one that im no fan of. I dont know what hurler did to me all i remember was 3 important parts of me hurting really bad til wednesday(that was also my worst year in football)

Vortex #1 worst ride and Borg follows. I have not ridden Vortex in years mainly because it sucks and it sooo uncomfortable. Kiddie rides don't count b/c there not going to be thrilling. Carowinds hardly has any flats, so I guess what they do have is okay.

The Dora Train. My kids love Dora, but the entire time we were on the train - they had this WTF? look on their faces..
