Im going to Carowinds this year because my friend is paying me back for taking him to BGE. His church is behind the trip and they chose the worst possible date you can think of in summer. August 18th. Its a saturday. Im gonna assume there will be long lines. What do you guys suspect the wait times will be like? I only need Vortex and Reptar to complete my credits at Carowinds. I would also like to ride these other rides ive never been on: Drop Zone, Scream Weaver, Scooby Doo's Haunted Mansion, Phantom Flyers, Flying Dutchman's Revenge, Rip Roarin Rapids, and Southern Star. Last time i went was 2004 any changes since then?

That's the week that we had the hottest day of the year at C3 2005. Drink lots of water!!!

The lines will be long as people seem to like to only go to Carowinds when it's 100 degrees and 200% humidity.

Borg will be 1 hour at least. The other coasters will be between 30min and 1 hour for a Saturday that time of the year.

There have been lots of cosmetic changes since then, and of course Nick Central.

Well I went on my birthday in Aug. last year. It was a saturday. Hardly ANY lines at all...TOP GUN WAS A WALK-ON...everyone was at the water park. =] I was shocked but wasn't complaining! lol

Yea the lines should not be that long, August starts the time when the attendence starts to go down until scarowinds.

Well apparently i cant go now. I recently found out my football coach scheduled Pictures for this year on that day and my friends church most likely cant reschedule.
