Went to Myrtle Beach this past week for the first time in over a year. One of my goals was to get pics of every thing going on down there. I think I've gotten the hang of this photo trip report thing.

One of the first things I did was go see what was left of the Pavilion. I got a few shots. You could see Hurricane track in the rubble where the helix use to be. Its a really sad sight:












The Pavilion Nostaglia Park is SLOWLY progressing over at Broadway at the Beach. It looks to be a very tight fight. The billboards are claiming that its opening the Summer of 07. From the looks of it, late summer. About the only thing you can see is that gondola and the Pirate:

Finally, I came across this park built on the former Air Force Base. Its got three jetfighters on it. Very nice:

Nice PTR. Still can't believe the Pavilion is nothing but rubble now. :angry:

What about a group tour of HRP during the Sept. 9th Family Kingdom event. I imagine a good bit of LZ will be in place by then and maybe we can mooch a behind the scenes tour from PR.
