We arrived at the park around noon and it was pretty empty . . .



Over there is the Villain and Double Loop.

Over on the other side is a boomerang.


Yes, I know stuff has been removed.


It's a little bit after noon, almost time for lunch for some folks--we ate a late breakfast


Before we could enter the park, we had to go to guest services to sign in.
Here's the view upon entering the park.

We walked through the park a bit to see what was happening before we rode anything. Look, it's a Vekoma! And people are riding it!

The Raging Wolf Bobs . . .


Are closed due to parts of the track collapsing . . . no credit for me.


This is kinda cool.


And the first ride of the day is . . .


It's situated out over the water a bit, and of course the water was that scummy green with algae floating on top, but that didn't effect the ride. Here it is in the loop.

Yes you can, my beard is already growing back. Now for part 2.

For our next ride we head over to that Beaver whatever it's called coaster. Two circuits and then back into the station. It's not a bad little coaster.

Our next ride was the Villain.

It was a pretty rough ride in the back seat.

My wife had a take a break after that one. I guess I'll hit the Double Loop. It's pretty much your standard Arrow looping coaster. But it has a tunnel. WOW

Now it's time for lunch. This restaurant was pretty good--it has A/C and full service.

After lunch we came upon a shoot the chutes ride. But we did see some guys welding on the track earlier so we knew it wasn't open.

Time for part 3. My internet has been down for the last few days (stupid Charter). On with the updates.

After my solo ride on the Head Spin, it was time for the Big Dipper.



I rode in the last car while my wife was more towards the middle of the train. I really shouldn't have had my arms up while riding back there. The bottom of the first drop was a surprising jolt that subluxed my left shoulder. Ouch!

Anyway, after this we decided to watch the magic show to escape the heat and let my shoulder relax for a bit. It wasn't all that special of a show, but it was in the A/C so we cooled off a bit.

After the show, it was time for some water rides!

We got in line for the log flume hoping to get soaked.


But it was not to be because the ride broke down as we neared the loading platform.


Please, somebody come fix this ride!


Oh well, let's try the rapids ride.


When we finally got into a raft, we didn't even get wet on the ride. So much for that plan to cool off.

Then we hit the carousel. My wife loves these things. This one spun around really fast.


Next it's off to try to ride another Vekoma.


Here I am in the queue.


I came back after a short wait. Surprise, surprise, the ride was down. Oh well. Back to the Dominator for a ride in the front row.

Oh look, it's testing. Too bad, I'm tired of waiting. I've ridden one like this before (the Hangman at Opryland) so I'll pass.


Back to the Big Dipper to finish off the day.


Weeee! The ride in the very first car was awesome.
