Did anyone happen to catch the Fireworks at Carowinds last night? If you didn't consider yourself lucky. That was what i call the Skytower Craptacular. Cedar Fair basically ruined what somewhat decent fireworks we had last year.

First off there were not that many fireworks to begin with and the grand finally was somewhat of a joke not to mention the 10-15 flares that were shot off from the skytower. You got to be kidding me. Very Bad Show

No I have not been spoiled by Disney fireworks. Last years skytower show was really 100% better. Then again i guess Paramount had the money to put into the show as clearly CF did not or just didn't give a crap.

^ You do realize that Carowinds was under CF (most of) last year, right? Sometimes they do things differently to test something and it doesn't always work out...it happens. Could be any number of things that just made this years show bad...maybe someone different in charge of putting the show together? I wouldn't instantly just jump to the conclusion that it's a failure of CF so quickly.

Paramount had already contracted for the show, paid for it and was planned before CF bought the park. I think they just decided not to throw alot of money into it but maybe it will be better next year.

Oh and if they were just going to shoot off flares from the skytower they could have changed the name from Skytower Spectacular to something else.

Just saying it was one of the worst fireworks displays i had ever seen if not the worst. We'll see what happens next year.

I'm not the only one. I heard HUNDREDS of people talking about how bad it was leaving the park.

Ah, I didn't realize that it had already been paid for and setup by Paramount...my apologies. I'd give CF another year though, I don't think fireworks shows are something they are used to doing and they are probably still figuring things out. A lot of fireworks shows this year seemed to be duds kind of, it's like a plague lol

Sorry to here how bad your fireworks show was at CW this year. I went to the fireworks show at KD on 07/03. That show was pretty good and lasted for about 20 minutes. I think the park stated that they were going to fire nearly 4500 shells for each of the shows (July 3 & 4). I'm not sure what happened to the 2007 Carowinds show. Maybe the Budget or the company they hired did not give you what you wanted.
