Hello everyone. I'm new to the forums and wanted some feed back. Being that I'm an employee at Carowinds, I wanted to know everyones opinions on Carowinds operating hours..

Personally, I think it's great from an employee's point of view to have a closing of 8p.m cause your off and on your way home by 8:30p.m. But when, I'm a guest visiting the park, it's kind of sucks because around 7:20, you start rushing hoping to catch at least 2 to 3 more rides.


I'm from New York, and just moved to the area. All of our parks in our tri-state area close at either 10 / 11/ or 12 o'clock. Not saying it's only the North, but other parks like Kings Island, Busch Gardens, and even various Cedar Fair and
Six Flags parks all have good hours.

Our best day to stay in the park late is on Saturday cause we close at 10p.m

I mean we need to at least have a late closing on Friday's to. :huh:

I think 10pm on Fri & Sat should be the norm. I don't have a problem with 8pm during the week and on Sunday. A lot of the workers are teenagers, and keeping them out till 10 every night is just asking for trouble. The night rides would be a lot of fun though!

Even though 9pm would be great for the paycheck, there would be no reason for us to stay open that late on weekdays becasue the park does not be crowed and on top of that the park starts to get empty at around 6.

I'll Just be satisfied with Friday being a 10 p.m closing also.

It's Not just for the paycheck, but for all those guests that are shocked that we close so early in the summer. You should see some of the reactions on peoples faces who don't even know the closing time and then they find out.

But thats True, after 6 p.m it does become almost a ghost town.

Personally, I just like how parks look at night with the lights. LOL!

At the very least, 10pm on Friday nights.

Would like to see 9pm during the week. Our park is NOT a destination park, so 8pm seems reasonable, but when traveling, we seek out parks with a 10pm or 11pm close, to make the most of our day and our dollar.

A 9am start of Saturdays, at least for passholders, like last year, would be great!
