I picked it up at 5pm the Sunday after it came out. I knew someone would slip somewhere on the 'net, TV, friends or somewhere and ruin the surprises so figured I needed to read it before that happened.
The day after Half-Blood Prince came out, for example, one of my friends had "R.I.P Albus Dumbledore" in her Away message on Yahoo messenger. So I kinda knew he died before reading the book  And yeah, that spoiled HBP for ya - but you should've read that already by now.
I finished Deadly Hallows before 5pm that Monday. I haven't read a book straight through like that in a long while - and never read any of the other 6 books that quickly, even the shorter early ones.
I won't give anything away, but I kept wondering if the title should've been Harry Potter and The Body Count with so many folks dropping dead in this book....

PS - Guess that means I read 'em too
