I don't know if anyone will read this from the park or not...but here goes.
Saturday I headed to the park to pick up Weird Al tickets for myself and 2 friends (coming up on Augst 4)...
Just some observations on my part:
Managers - Either I never noticed managers that much in the past, or there are a LOT more in the park roaming around now! I really like this, because before you'd have to hunt and hunt to find a manager. I usually never bother managers unless I notice something funky on a ride or something like that.
Grounds - Overall I think the park is looking great. The grounds are being kept very well, the plants all look great and the flowers too.
Operations - I really appreciate the fact that Carowinds will run two trains on everything, even when the lines aren't that long. Hurler really wasn't that busy, but they still ran two trains. If this was Six Flags...oh wait, I better stop right there.
Staff - Carowinds is still a pretty friendly park, the Hurler crew is much better this year although they still could use a class in how to smile. I'm so grateful Mr. Grandmaster Funkadelic DJ isn't driving the coaster anymore! He got on my nerves so bad 2 years ago.
Season Pass Holder Parking - I love it! I'm glad that if I have to use the North Gate, at least I don't have to hike a mile.
Only negative comment - I don't like the fact that ERT was taken away from season passholders, but at least we get in 10 minutes early.
Overall, I'd say that Cedar Fair is doing a very good job with the park, (not that Paramount/CBS were bad).
But if staff does read this, keep up the good job. I'll see you in the park.
