I was looking on the Carowinds website to double-check on what their hours were for this weekend, and to see if they had any buyout weekends where they weren't open to the public - and noticed a few things about Scarowinds on there.
First, they're only open until 1am on Oct. 20th and 27th, not every night like they had on there previously. And I don't know if I wasn't paying attention before or if this is a change - but the first night of Scarowinds is on Sept. 27th - a Thursday, with no Scarowinds that Friday. The park is closed during the day on Saturday the 29th, but open for Scarowinds that night.
Woulda been nice if they were open til 1am every night, but honestly that's probably overkill for some of those slower nights. The good news is that Saturday looks like the only buyout day the park is closed - they're open the Sunday that weekend.
Just don't show up on the first week of Scarowinds on Friday like I usually do - they won't be open. Guess I'll check it out on that Thursday or the following Friday.
