Just get the $65 pass and park at the mall. It's not like you're parking much closer than that in Carowinds lot these days.

I also forgot about the Paramount benefit of getting in free at the other parks.

At this rate they've basically doubled our passes in 2 years and cut the benefits in half.

Basically the price is a mute point to me right now. Unless something wonderful comes our way I'll be like a few others and see you at C3.

Price doesn't bother me as much as content. And, right now, we don't have the content to bring me back. A water park expansion sure won't bring me back regardless of what is done to it.

So, Dollywood, H.R.P., and maybe even 6FOG will have my hard earned money.

Seriously though, all things added together (and agreeing with Mark on lack of new attractions) 2008 looks like a crappy year for the park to me.

Sad too, it's the park's 35th birthday too.

Hopefully they won't turn the park into another MIA (as in Michigan's Adventure)...Missing In Action is a very appropriate term for that park. What a joke. MI is a very populated state (ahead of NC actually from the 2000 sensus)and yet they add nothing to the park in the way of coasters for a very long time.

Michigan's Adventure has even less competition than Carowinds. 75% of the population is in the Detroit area on the opposite side of the state, and believe it or not Cedar Point is closer to them. The return on investment on a brand new coaster there would be too low to justify the cost. (a used coaster *cough* could be right up the parks alley though) Also if you've been there you know that everyone is in the water park anyway, so keep those slides coming MIA! ..some work on Shivering Timbers might not be a bad idea either... :unsure:

Let's face it...it's going to take one hell of an attraction to keep attendance from taking another dip at Carowinds next year. Just waiting for the other shoe to drop now! Anybody have a clue as to when we'll hear about any additions for 2008? :huh:
