[begin rant] anyways? I've never heard of this word. I keep hearing it online. People on forums all across the web have been using this word online. It is NOT in the dictionary. There is NO such word as "anywayS". If you were referring to "anyway", there is NO "S" in "anyway". [/end rant]

Seriously, don't take this personally. It is a pet peeve of mine. I have to correct anyone who uses "anyways".

Again, Sorry. Don't take it personally. :P Just don't use "anyways" again. ;)

EDIT: "Anyways" is in the College Dictionary (the Webster's Dictionary that includes curse and slang words), but is not in the True English Dictionary. Anyways is a slang word.

find something more feasible to b!tch about...like cedar fair. Or go write your rants down on paper then eat it afterways...

Oh yeah, anyways.....

Forgot to mention... They need to send that carousel to Carowinds or Kings Dominion. Hands down the best carousel I've been on outside of Knoebels.

Seeing how we already have one, I'd put my money on one of the other parks.

I'd also love to see the yo yo come here.

Put them where our swings used to be!

Sucks.

Also as awesome as El Dorado looks, we already have the exact same ride.. Rocket Power anyone?

Really? I've never heard anyone else say Dominator sucks. You're right, El Dorado and Rocket Power overlap as does a good number of GL's flats, but we should definately get Black Squid and Texas Twister...If we don't get Dominator that's ok as long as we get a new coaster like CW's Behemoth in the next few years, but it sure would be sweet to get Dominator for next season! BTW, most coaster fans rate Dominator an average of 9 out of 10 and I sure would love it to show up at Carowinds.

Simple solution.

1. Build my multi-level parking deck.
2. Use the parking lot and make a Geuga Lake Nastalga Park.
3. Line the coasters around the perimeter and put the flats in the middle.

I mean if we are going to be the USED attraction capital of the world then let is be so.

Just don't expect me, or many of my friends, to return.

As much as I'm disliking CF lately, I certainly don't fear Carowinds going down GL's path. Carowinds stands on it's own, while GL for the last 30+ years has had a symbiotic relationship with Sea World. When that part was effectively closed when CF bought the place, I had a strong feeling it was doomed. People weren't going to drive from Pittsburgh to ride coasters - they had those at Kennywood, or could drive to Hershey, Knoebels, etc. - but they WOULD drive over to see Shamu.

It's pretty funny in reading about this around the 'net. As many of you may have noticed, there's a strong Ohio bias in the enthusiast community, with Cedar Fair usually being praised as being nearly perfect. Some of the usual suspects are giving them hell for this move, but others are blaming Six Flags. Sure, Six Flags was probably misguided in trying to compete with CP, but they were at least trying. They were adding rides - if more than they should have - and moved in some Marine World animals to try to keep the animal side going. No Shamu, but certainly more than CF had - and all for one ticket. World's of Adventure was definitely on my list to visit next time I was up that way. The "new and improved" GL, not so much, especially after they started ripping stuff out.

While I saw this happening eventually, especially after the big attendance drop the first year under CF and then when they started moving coasters, I was really shocked to see it happen this soon. I thought it would struggle on another 3-5 years before this happened. Wonder if CF's Paramount acquisition not going as well as hoped hastened things along?

No, they will just put them in the water park. New advertising: Geauga Lake's Wild Water Kingdom will have a trash can every 2 feet!!!

Carowinds wont end up like GL. Its only a few miles away from a huge city. Charlotte will have over a million people in only a few years. More people will come with time.

I agree, that carousel rocks!

If I wanted anything from GL, it would be the carousel or the Big Dipper. But they won't move the dipper because it's the oldest coaster in Ohio.

^ O Rly? You're a lot more optimistic than I. I wouldn't be surprised if the Big Dipper doesn't run again.
