What rides are open during the Christmas Festival? I haven't been at Christmas in a LONG time, and I remember back then not much was open.

The water rides (with the exception of Blazing Fury) are closed, all the other rides operate weather permitting. The coasters will close if the temperature drops below 42 F.

I remember years ago only the train and a few of the flat rides operated during the Christmas season. In fact they use to close off the upper half of Craftsmen's Valley beyond the Chapel.

There's obviosuly a lot more to do besides just shows during the Christmas season now.

Christmas at Dollywood is awesome too.

I've never seen a park go from day to night in such a dramatic way.

The best part about Dwood at this time of year is that it's packed...with old people. And the lines for the coasters and thrill rides aren't really long. I'm going in November.
