Riding in the car the other day, I heard a new radio ad for Carowinds. This stated the new season pass features (ie; new parking, scarowinds admission,etc.) and it also said that Carowinds featured ELEVEN roller coasters, so this obviously means FSS is not going to open for 2008, so will it be demolished, and gone, or will it be demolished, and pull a Frenzoid and turn up in Boomerang Bay under an Australian theme. You guys decide or voice your opinions on the subject.

I've actually heard the ad several times over the last two weeks. Cedar Fair must be trying to rebuild the season passholder base...

Satie is still listed on Carowinds.com which features a new different logo(minus the CF logo.) Maybe Satie is only going to be open when the waterpark is from now on. It would make more sense because the water effects make up half the fun.

Well, after a trip to the park today to get my jacket you could still see the top of saturator from the camping area....No deconstruction yet....

It would make sense for them to tear it down afterall the water jets never are on like they used to be... and after that time it got stuck in the "drop" i dont think it has been the same. I remember when it opened and it was fun. After 2 years it got kind of old. Still a good concept...but it doesnt work good...you cant get a coaster wet all the time and expect it to run good... Oh well maybe it will get an austrailian theme....or maybe it will be torn down and replaced. I havent rode the thing in years....I will definately miss watching people ride it though trying to drop the water!

I think saturator might actually stick around because it did close with the waterpark... maybe cedar fair just wont count it as a coaster... that maybe why it says 11 on the radio...i havent even noticed that. :huh: ... I would think they would just retheme it with the waterpark and open/close it with it... one way or another...doesnt matter to me..

I am guessing they either missed the error in the ad, Satie will closed except for when the waterpark is open, or one coaster will be removed. For some reason, I am leaning towards option number 2.
