I just wanted to ask everyone's opinion on the photos of the construction. To my eyes, the design of this coaster is far more asthetically pleasing than that of X-Flight at Six Flags: World's of Adventure. The transistions between elements seem to be more flowing. Also, after reviewing these pics for some time, I am starting to really like the appearance of this coaster in relation to the rest of the park.

I also agree. What's going to be more difficult for the park is the fact that they are hyping this as the tallest coaster in the park. In feet, it may be the tallest, but driving down I-77, Top Gun still looks like the king. I realize TG is on a hill but try explaining that in a press release to the GP.

I'll be going in the park within the next week or two to take a look around. I will definately post an update of what I see, and hopefully have some pictures to share.

but swamp fox it is really hard to tell they are like 5 feet apart so from far away you are not going to notice even when you are up close

Yea, but you are only talking a couple feet in difference. Looking up it would be hard to see and even if they were side by side you would have to take away handrails and the like to see the actuall track.
I have, as my desktop, the pic of Borg Assimilator looking ot the lift from where the boat was, with the logo in the upper right corner and a picture of the layout turned correctly in the upper left corner. I am getting keyed up and can't wait as I am just trying to figure out what they might do with the theme and where the ship would be placed.

To me the height issue is really not the issue, because TopGun still has the longer drop. BA's drop is not much more than what the Cyclone offers.

This ride is more about thwe inversions and the way you set on it with the trains.

Another aspect that just occurred to me is the sound factor. The sound of wheels, especially in light of Vortex's proximity to that of Borg, all that polyurethane roaring across the park will be an exciting sound. :P

I think it will be a more exciting ride on vortex now that the BA is so close. Expecially on that last turn where you went over the water. I don't think that Vortex will make the BA additionally exciting (Excitement Factor-RCT)

Ooohhhh Yeaaa!!! If you get lucky enough to pass each other at the closet points that would be awesome. Just think of the sound while you are in line. I'm not sure how the lift sounds on Borg Assimiltaor but combined with Vortex's you should be pumped up.

I was looking at the pictures and at the spot where the BA goes near vortex and there your "Flying!" The people on vortex will be able to look up and the people on the BA will be able to look down. Imagine if somebody puked on the BA. :D

It'd be cool if they extended one of the BA supports over Vortex so that there would be a headchopper effect! Even though they won't. But maybe some of the scenery will...
