Sadly, I don't think it got a new coat. That's too bad, but hopefully it will get one soon, it's in dire need! I think if it was freshly painted, it'd be much shinier than it is in those pics.

You never know what could be painted after the park opens... they have plenty of weeks to paint stuff inbetween weekend operation.

That must be the new 3-D Movie Ride @ the Theatre Next to Thunder Road! They have it @ PKI too! Probably all the other Paramount Parks as well.TOMB RAIDER: THE RIDE

I've never heard of a 3-D TR movie at any of the parks. Now, PKI has the top spin/dark ride called Tomb Raider; The Ride. The poster in the background of the picture was for last summer's bomb, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life. Unless they have a 3-D movie planned for this year at the parks. I imagine that Spongebob will be back too.

I know it's not a Paramount movie....but I think Lord of the Rings would have been an awsome theme to the coaster and former island it sits on. Of course when they cleared the island and flattened it that ruined that type of idea.

Yea, that sounds interesting. I Believe Disney or Universal tried to get the rights to use LOTR at some point. If only Paramount could grab them.

Rode by the park today. I drove down the service road behind Hurler to see Borg Assimilator. Still not sure about the name? Anyway, it looks as if they have completed the loop section of the coaster.

From what I could tell it doesn't seem like there's a whole lot left to do as far as track placement. Maybe tie in a few sections and finish off where the corkscrews are going.

I'm hoping that with the push to assemble as quickly as they've done, then this means that they will be spending the next two months on heavy theming and scenery for the ride. That surely would make the coaster "Borg Assimilator" sound and look a lot more impressive than Stealth did at PGA.

No but it does need new paint. The last time it was painted was the only time in 92.

I went by today, and have concluded that we will not be able to see any aditional work on the coaster outside the park. WE NEED PHOTO UPDATES!
