Looking on the website, the Phantom Flyers and Water Logs do not have a minimum height requirement? I was looking at rides my 3 yr old could ride, who is 37 inches. Seems odd he could ride the water logs and not the "fairly odd coaster". Just curious if this is correct or a misprint.

The following rides can be ridden with a parent:
Speedboats
Log Flume
Balloons
Skytower
Railroad
Carousel
Copters
Flyers
Haunted Mansion
Cars

The following have a 36" min:
Airplanes
Jets
Swings

All rides at Carowinds have height restrictions of atleast 36", but some rides kids under 36" can ride WITH a RESPONDABLE adult who is atleast 16 or 18, I can't remember but I am pretty much it is 18. Carowinds.com is not very correct on height restrictions. If do don't remind checking the ride pages, go to Carowinds Zone for more correct information. I would say look around Carowinds Connection, but they don't have the information you seek.

(If any mods see fit to remove reference to Carowinds Zone, please do. I only made reference to my site because it has the information the poster is seeking.)

Well I mean Fairly Odd Coaster is probably the most thrilling Jr. Coaster out there, I ride it still, it's great.

But yeah, Carowinds.com is having some accuracy problems lately, all over the site you'll find errors everywhere.

CarowindsZone is better for height restrictions, etc.

About the website:

I can honestly say that a comphrensive review and update of the website is underway. This is something in which there hasn't been a real chance to do for 5 years. There are other responsibilites to do at the park than searching a website every day.

Yes, the Vortex update is on the list and EVERY park in the country lists theoretical hourly capacities based on the cycle time of the ride. They don’t assess it every day and update the capacity based on the slowness of current or former employees.

And no, they don't take into consideration ideas that are posted on here.

I'm sure the correct height requirements will be posted on the website by opening day. (Just my humble opinion.)

If they are going to have these height limits, they need to do it right. Last summer, this little boy and his dad and sister rode the BORG all day. Then, when they got up to ride it again later on, the little boy couldn't ride it...they said he was too short. Even tho he had on one of thoes colored bands to show that he was tall enough. I thought that was kinda of messed up. Someone made a big mistake with that one. To not catch his height the first 2342 times he rode it? And why the heck did he even recieve a colored band in the first place?

Yeah, it is messed up to have the requirements off on the website. I am (or was) using that as part of my criteria if it was worth paying $50 for a 3 year olds season pass. They need to reassess their requirements anyways. Some of theirs are way off. Like the little swings. Who is that marketed towards. Last year he was too short. Next year they will be too little for him to have interest. So that ride is just for three year olds?
