Dear Carowinds,

Can we please get another film in there? Spongebob needs to hit the road.

Or bring back 7th Portal. ;)

Thank you. That is all.

I actually look forward to seeing the same 10 minute Spongebob movie every single time I've been to carowinds in the past years.

It's been there what, 5 years now?

I'd be ok with it, if they would put something in the other theater.

I say just tear it out and have that an opening to expand the park further out.

OK I'll shut up...

Thats a good place for a hyper. Have it run along the road but not right at the road. Like 20-30ft back.

You can't place any structure less then 100 feet away from the state roads in NC.

What? Thunder Road is less than 100ft away. What about all the busniess along the road as well. Those are structures.

100 feet is as much as it looks like, my dad's house looks like it is only 50 feet from the road, but I measured it and it is 100 some feet. BTW, I said STATE roads not city roads. Laws are different inside of city limits. Also, Thunder Road was built in 1975-6, the laws were different then. If the 1975 read 20' and the law was changed in 1977, Thunder Road is grandfathered in.

(NOTE: I only know basic, I don't know alot of details or any loopholes. If anyone knows more, please correct me.)

Any public building/venue must be more than 100' from any Interstate located in NC, South Carolina may be different (explains TR)! Our new store being built in Elkin was zoned for 126' from the Interstate to ensure the safety of the property and its visitors from Interstate 77!

Isn't Thunder Road's turnaround in North Carolina while the station is in South Carolina?

^TR was probably grandfathered in after new laws went into effect!

Thunder Road is much further than 100 feet from the highway, so it's completely irrelevant anyway.

I thought it was built on the State Line? At the top of the hill it has SC on one side and NC on the other. Or was that just naming the coasters when racers?? You ride on SC racer or NC racer?
