What difference does it make if there are new panels or not? As long as the panels operate the coaster safely and effectively, everything is good and folks like us get to ride the coaster. Last I checked, uptime is a good thing.
Fifty Consecutive Rides on Thunder Road August 25, 2005
I can just cry over Thunder road backwards. but hopefully, they will have the trains racing. Maybe that will take away our loss.
and although the yoyo is old and used, at least the company that makes them is still in existence and still manufactures them. That way, they can easily replace parts when needed.
I heard that Hypersonic XLC will launching at Carowinds in 2009, wouldn't it be interesting to see Hypersonic XLC next to Thunder Road where AFX is with the turnaround wrapped around Yo Yo.
I understand that there is a new system being installed on TR that will allow both panels to "sync" and race. This will be a switch that can be flipped on or off. So probably not going to see them race 100% of the time, but the majority of the time.
I would love to have them race again atleast 70% of the day. I understand that there are times you can't race (idiotic guest being slow and dumb), but maybe they'll atleast try now!
I hope T-road will at least open soon, i mean is been down for quiet some time getting a massive face lift. Maby it will be smother now. Wow, racing and smother, that might be to much for carowinds to handle for one season. LOL
