While at the park today I noticed something....something new.... between borg..erm nighthawk.. and goldrusher. They have dug some footers in a rectangular shape..not really big but big enough to be a new flat/thrill ride? Anyone know anything about this new construction?? I am thinking it might become a building for Scarowinds...I dont know...

It's about time; they really need to put SOMETHING there, even if it is just a building for Scarowinds. Designing that area to leave such a huge empty gap (which is somewhat inaccessible) in between those rides was a questionable decision.

Well isnt there a path and a gate that leads back there? I think they would just pave it and it would be an easy access...or if its an actually ride just build the line all the way to the walkway. Either way I am eager to find out what is going on! I wish they would use the building in Hurler's turn as something during the regular season. I took some pics of the area with my cell phone I will try to post them later.

I was at carowinds today and i stood in line for nighthawk for a half hour and noticed that too.
There were place for footers and there were piles of new wood.

Well i don't think so but if you look on BoRgAsSiMiLaToR 's first picture you can see a little in a background.
If it is for Goldrusher then why are they digging a hole for footers and supports?

That is an EXTREMELY unaccesable area to build an arcade...unless it's an arcade to occupy people's time on Nighthawk Assimilator's queue line...I'm clueless....no idea

One of my KI sources tells me its exactly the same shape as when their "Club Blood" maze was being built. It was their maze for 'Mature' audiences only ... not sure of the details, but I am happy to have another Scarowinds Maze.

We will always welcome another Haunt. I wonder if this comes now as a result of loosing a maze area to the Yoyo? I know last year there was a "rumor" for Adults only spot. But...what a great isolated place for 'Mature' audiences.

Well I think it would be another maze since they put the yo yo where the clown maze was. I just wish it would be something that could be opened all year and halfway entertaining. What kind of "adults only" thing are you talkin about? STRIP CLUB AT CAROWINDS!!???
