I don't know where to post this, but I drove past the park today, and it looked packed. Going south on I-77, Traffic for Carowinds Blvd was backed uped to where 485 meets 77. Does anyone know why??

The traffic and congestion was due to the Latino Festival that was happening across the street from Carowinds. There were not that many people in the park on Sunday as they were enjoying the fun, food and festivities across the street.

I passed the Carowinds exit a little after 2pm on Sunday, coming home from our vacation that included King's Island and Cedar Point. My wife had just got it out of her mouth, "why don't you pull into Carowinds for a few minutes and you and the girls can ride Top Gun a few times while I eat a cone of ice cream". Well, when I saw the line of cars, I told everyone right then, they're having a BIG day at the park. No Go for us! Oh well, still wouldn't have wanted to wait through the line of cars...besides, after a trip to CP, how will I ever see our park the same way again... we truly are the bottom rung on the CF ladder... no wonder we only get the leftovers... I'll post later about our trip... it was GREAT!

Yeah thats how I felt when I saw Kings Dominion in 2006 after I went to CP the year before. CF really needs(well not really need) to put in a non-used coaster in. The last one was Runaway Reptar :(.

Well, CP is CF's premire park like Lincoln is Ford's premire class of vehicles. Ford will never be like a lincoln or even meet livcoln standards and Carowinds will never be like CP!!!

Agreed, CP is always going to be the "Jewel" in the CF crown, and well it should be. After now having visited five CF parks, Carowinds IS the low rung on the ladder. Hey, I even noted that several of the rides on the GL auction could have fit in nicely at ours... but I still would hate to see a boomerang... but then again, most patrons at Carowinds would think it was something great...

And...let's be thankful for that.

Come on now, who here really thinks CP is better than Carowinds? If you do have you been to CP more than once?

I'll take our collection of atractions and atmosphere over CP any day.
