Hello everyone! 8)

I just wanted to introduce myself (wasn't sure where to do so, ha). I just moved down here to the Charlotte Area (in SC) a few weeks ago, and have my Carowinds Season Pass (been there 4 times so far!)

Anyway, onto the topic at hand... I'm a big hockey (New York Rangers!) fan, and went to a Charlotte Checkers game @ Bobcats Arena in January, and had a great time. I had flown down for a week to visit before moving down here. The Checkers won the game 5-4 in OT vs. Gwinnett btw! :D So do any of you guys go to the games? I plan on getting a 12-game plan for this upcoming season, and am really excited about it. My dad and I had a great time at the game, it's much cheaper(!) than an NHL game, and I figure I'll get to meet some new people at the games.

We are avid hockey fans as well. In fact, we bought the 12 game pass for the Hurricanes in Raleigh. We try to go to as many Checkers games as we can throughout the season.

I went to one last year; the new arena is impressive, although it doesn't quite seem right not being at Independence Arena.

Old news to anyone here who knows me, but I am an obsessive hockey fan; much moreso than amusement parks, really. I've got a 26 game Canes pack this year. Summer just lasts way too long.

That's cool to see so many hockey fans down here, didn't think there would be as many. :D I wish the Hurricanes were closer to me, but they are 3 hours away. Maybe someday I'll take a trip up there to see a few games, spend the weekend, and see my Rangers play there. 8)

As for the Checkers, I'm planning on getting a 12-game plan this season, and am looking forward to it!

I got to a game a few months back as well. I just wish it was closer to me, it's not really convenient to where I live. And I hate paying $10 for parking, so last time I drove down and rode the light rail in.

Anyone planning on attending the Caniac Carnival in Raleigh next weekend? This is an excellent opportunity to meet the players and see the unveiling of the new jerseys.
