This is much smaller than Deja Vu, does not have vertical towers, and has regular sit down trains, not inverted.

For what it's worth, I really enjoyed all of the inverted Vekoma boomerangs (Deja Vu Georgia, Deja Vu Chicago, Face/Off, and Two Face) that I went on. The regular boomerangs however... hated every single one.

As far as the Boomer coming I'll like it a lot more than Satty. At least I will ride it unlike Satty. And yes, I have ridden several Boomers out there and I put them in the category of novelty. You do them once and a while. It will take a little getting used to walking by Wings and seeing a coaster instead of the Carolina pride walking back and forth from the water park. That's a visual I'd rather keep in the water park thank you.

The GP won't care and will probably be pretty darn happy with another coaster. As for me, although I'd rather have the Face-Off type, I just keep adding up the coaster types and amount.

I doubt Satie is going anywhere but the scrapyard. I have heard that the manufactor(Setpoint) brought it back since they are getting back into the industry(so I have heard). It would cost over a million dollars just to reinstall Satie inside of Carowinds or the waterpark.

I don't understand why they can't just leave it where it is, and put Head Spin somewhere else in the park...

Several things come to mind...
Maybe they were getting rid of Satty anyway. (Memories of last year’s discussion)
5 years plan that most parks try to keep.(This could have been a decision last year or so)
That's a "dead" area of the Park.
Cedar Fair siad it's your's so handle it.
Skyline view
Etc.

Plus, where else would they put it?

^ Well, I haven't put much thought into this and it just came to my head, so i may be wrong about being able to do this AT carowinds, BUT, it's not hard for parks to extend and make new midways and areas and build the coaster around the area. I mean, just a quick examply, Silverwood in Iowa is doing it for their new Vekoma Inverted Boomerang, Aftershock.

Carowinds has done that numberous times since 1973.
Hanna-Barbara Land-1975
Thunder Road-1976
County Fair-1979
Wavepool-1983
RipTide Reef-1989
Wayne's World-1994
Drop Zone-1996
WaterWorks-1997
Pipeline Peak-2001
Wavepool-2008

ok, you dont get what i'm saying. I wasnt saying Carowinds hasnt done it before, I was saying where would they do it now? there's just nowhere that automatically comes to mind as to where to extend the park. The park forms into too much of a circle to extend and it's sort of dug it's own grave.

Actually I beg to differ. South Gate could be removed allowing an expansion that could connect to County Fair and Zoom Zone. Adding space to both areas of the park. South Gate isn't used very often but a new South Gate could be built out in front of the new area. Removing AFX is an option to add a new coaster or expand County Fair. Remodeling the area behind Flume could open another area up. All behind Drop Zone can be opened up. While I don't expect any of the area to be opened up as part of the park, it is possible. The road that encircles Carowinds was moved for Wayne's World, it could be moved again.

Well, yes South Gate COULD be removed, but what are the chances it will be? Also, keep in mind there are maintenance buildings in between Zoom Zone and Top Gun/South Gate. Maintenance Buildings are also to the left of Drop Zone. So it would need to be expanded to the right of Hurler or in or to the left of Hurlers station which is basically impossible because you would need to cut in to the wooded area next to and in front of Hurler to keep the road encircling Carowinds, which would cost enough money as it is. So yes, it would be possible, but as I said it would be complicated.

there are no maintenance buildings between afterburn and zoom zone, you might be talking about the buildings for the picnic shelter, but those are still a ways out of the way for expansion. The wooded area behind hurler just may be where the park will have to expand to next, What they can always do is build a approx. 150-200 ft tunnel with the maintenance road in the tunnel and another midway off into that wooded area. All they would have to do is hide the road with trees and buildings. Although, that would probably cost too much for CF to actually invest in...

Ah, I forgot Deja Vu was inverted as well. It was a cool ride. And smaller?? Wow, this ride may not be all that good. This one is smaller because Deja Vu had the tall towers. Not a whole lot of difference in the loop size from what I can tell on the pics, Deja Vu may have been a little taller because of the inverted element and can stretch that loop a bit more than with a sit down coaster.

^ Vekoma Inverted Boomerangs are HUGE. 191 feet per tower and the loops and the inverted cobra roll are MUCH bigger than a normal boomerang. In fact, the loop is so big that it streches from one side of the station to the other.
