I went to the park today with my brother, mostly for the water rides and the waterpark. We did the Saturator, which was only running 2 of the cars. The line was short, so the wait wasn't bad at all. Anyway, where is all the water? The only thing that seemed to be working was the fountain just after the mid-course brake. The kids manning that button had it down to a science today, they got everyone DRENCHED! But other than that, none of the fountains/sprayers were shooting water during the course of the ride, making for a rather boring ride if not for that fountain. The water guns at the bottom hardly reached the track, and most of it was blocked off under the ride...

Any explanations for this? Was this ride always like this? Guess this just further confirms that it's going after this season... :(

The water effects have been running on the ride. Unfortunately, the ride itself is not the saturating part. It's the waiting in line and getting dumped on. So, yes, it is always like that.

But the dumping part wasn't working at all, while waiting in line, we saw people pulling the levers, and nothing. We didn't get wet until we got blasted by the fountain lol

About the FSS, they're taking it out after the end of this year to put in a crappy vekoma boomerang. The park doesn't have much motivation to keep all that stuff on the ride working anymore.

Carowinds hasn't had all of Saturator running since atleast 2003. Most of the water effects have long since been removed or changed.

It used to be a cool ride, you got soaked. I guess Paramount didn't put any money into it to maintain it, so you have it like it is now. Shame. We see what CF did with TR, a fraction of that cost is needed when you maintain the preventative maint. on the rides.
