I've got an idea.

Take both down, build a giant 2 lift GCI!

Or better, a dueling layout of Thunderhead.

Not going to happen, they wouldn't be trying to sell it if they were going to give it to us.

Hypersonic? anyone?

Good point.

Hypersonic was pretty boring. And now its lying in pieces behind Hurler at KD.

Yes and I laughed my head off at it when I saw it from Grizzly. OK, Grizzly made me have memory blackouts, so I have no idea what I did. But I had warm fuzzies seeing it in pieces.

I skipped it last year, after the beatings it gave me in the past. I skipped Anaconda this year, so I guess it will be removed over the off season.

I always thought HyperSonic was an eye sore in that area of the park. Maybe that's just me, but I did not think it looked good where it was. Paramount just threw it in the middle of the walk way...something like Six Flags would do!

I would definitely want to see the Rapids and Log Flume eh.. Not replaced, but just redone - much like they did withthe water slides a couple years ago. Add a little more to the Flume just to give it that extra splash and do the same with Rapids... bring back the Rock Covering.

I hope GoldRusher never goes away. That is still one of my most favorite coasters in the park. Its a great ride to cool down on after a long hot day at the park.

Action theater should go and become a path to a new area that expands out to that back parking lot that only gets used for non Carowinds events.

You can't get rid of the Hurler - granted I think I'm the only person who loves this coaster and rides it 2-3 times each trip. Woodies are supposed to hurt in my opinion.

We need to take down, replace with a taller Drop Zone - Granted I will never ride this ride... it looks so puny to Kings Dominion's.

I agree with every except Drop Zone, I say take it down and replace it with a S&S Three tower complex. Two turbo drops, and one space shot. Surprisingly, Turbo Drops give a different ride from our Drop Zone. Oh, and make them atleast 200 feet tall. 330 feet would be interesting to be as high as Skytower, but I doubt we will ever get anything as high as Skytower.

I agree. Hurler was just a misfit with paramount. If only CF would retrack it, it would be like when it first opened. I personally hate the log flume. And the rapids could use some extra water effects and some tunnels to make it longer. I hate drop towers. IMO, they provide too much airtime then someone could possibly take. Goldrusher should never go away. The paladium is just a waist of space. they could expand the rapids into that area and a new water ride would fit nicely in that spot.

S&S TOWERS SUCK.

160 foot tall Intamin > 300 foot tall S&S

I love Hurler too but HURLER IS NOT ROUGH. (tm) Also woodies aren't *supposed* to hurt. There is a fine line between pain/pleasure, and if a woodie hurts then its not being maintained well.

What does this even mean?

Carowinds retracked Hurler the same section of Hurler twice during 2006, and it never made it any smoother. I agree with Jay, Hurler is not rough.

I had to laugh at this comment. I want to know just how old where you when Hurler opened up in 1994?
