Keep on wishing! As much as I loved WL, the talk of the park buying it back from its new home is pretty funny. Its time to move on and cherish the past. Maybe an impluse could make itself a home at the park one day. If you wanna ride a shuttle, go to SFKK. Viper has made its new home there.

Since PC likes the inverts so much, how about a version of Wicked Twister. That would be a nice addition or replacement for White Lightning.

White Lightnin' was an expensive ride to maintain, as it was draining the park's wallet. They found another use for the space it was located on in the Rip Tide Reef waterpark, so it was removed and like said above, was sold to Gold Reef City. I doubt they'll ever be a weight-drop shuttle loop at the park again.

This was also the reason that SFOG got rid of Viper. Another use was found for it's location in Superman, and since Viper was one of the more expensive rides to run in the park, it was naturally going to be the park's choice for removal if it's location could be better put to use. (I'm not quite sure how long it will last at Kentucky Kingdom. Their not known for spending vast amounts on park upkeep!)

And then of course their is King Kobra at Kings Dominion, which was White Lightnin's mechanical twin. It got removed about three years before WL, and is now located somewhere in Spain I think.

I miss White Lightnin' alott. It was my first looping roller coaster. Too bad these Shuttle Loops are so "costly". They really are some of Mr. Schwarzkopf's greatest thrill machines. :(

Maybe they could put in a new version of white lightning. All i ask from carowinds is a launch type coaster. Everyone knows i love Flight Of Fear.

I agree, Carowinds does need a launch-type roller coaster. Intamin is really popular right now, so maybe Carowinds will get an impulse. I'd really like to have our own Wicked Twister here at Carowinds.

yeah a wicked twister would be nice, but what they should get is a premier rides MAD COBRA coaster, they look awsome.

I don't know, I've ridden a few of those, and they weren't bad, but I think I'll stick with the Impulse. If they have OTSRs, you get a really bad headache from your head smacking the sides of the restraints.

But if I'm not mistaken, I think that this is what the FOFs are, expect lap bars and enclosed in a building with no lights. That was fun, but I think we should get something that no other Paramount park has for once. Or at least be the first to get something.

Well, none of the other PPs have anything similar to Flying Super Saturator.

That is true, but I guess I mean in terms of a bigger thrill ride. I'm not saying that SS is small, I'm just thinking of major thrill coasters or flats, for that matter.

kind of off topic but did anybody know White Lightnin' is actually still the tallest coaster in the park it is 137' 10" and the closest it Borg which is only 115'

I think I know what you mean, but it can't still be the tallest coaster in the park if it's not there any more.

I say we get something like Speed:the ride in Las Vegas, It's a Premeir Rides shuttle. It's probable cheaper than an Intamin clone of TTD or Excelerator and no other paramount park has one.

Sledding on 1 1/2 inches of pure ice is awesome!
