I don't miss it. Unless they'd update it to include some of the current NASCAR drivers, don't bring it back. In fact, just taer down the whole place and put a Flying Squirrel there.

I have never rode Days Of Thunder so I'm not sure if its worth bringing back or not. I cant wait to see what they put in this year though. I'm hoping for something that has to do with a race. Races are a very exciting simulater concept.

Max, I meant to say something to you yesterday about the flying squirrel. To me it's another version of Z-Force. What I mean by that is that I don't think the ride would do very well over the long run, and the GP would tire of it pretty quickly. I do however feel that any coaster/thrill ride would be better than Days of Thunder or any sim ride at that location.

While I didn't exactly hate Days of Thunder, I enjoyed James Bond 007: A License to Thrill alott more. It seems like it didn't last as many years as DOT did, and I found that ironic considering they obviously spent quite a bit of money filming 007.

IMO Spongebob is alot better than some of the crap they've had in the turbo theater lately.

i can't remember riding days of thunder that well, but i know i have ridden it.
i didn't go to carowinds the year 007 was in.

speaking of simulators,i once rode one at an air show and it started out a roller coaster, went into a plane, then bobsleding, then indy racing, and back to the roller coaster,it was pretty cool(exept for the fact that i only rode it once cause it was $5.00 for 1 ride!)

Yeah, we had one of those at our mall in Kansas. I recall riding it one time and there being a video of The Beast from PKI in it. It wasn't bad, but it was $5.00 or something for one ride, so I didn't do it a lot.

Out of them all, I think Days of Thunder was the best. It really had atmosphere and I remember when I was little how intimidated I was. I remember the car in the queue, and the spinning car and the 'revving engines' while waiting for the doors to open. Normally I am the one who says "out with the old, in with the new", but I think they should of kept this attraction. :(

My little rant: I wish they would bring back the Wayne's World theming to the Hurler (just the Hurler, not Thrill Zone). It lacks so much atmosphere that it used to have before all the theming was taken out. I remember the pre-show in the station. It was pretty amusing from what I remember. Drop Zone... they should add skydiving equipment throughout the queue and/or play music from the soundtrack because that ride has absolutely no atmosphere... and don't even get me started on Top Gun's theming. I'm excitied to see what they will do with Borg Assimilator, I just hope they add theming to their older movie-based rides so things sort of 'even out'.

I agree with what GhettoPastries said. I think it would be great if they reinstalled all the Monitors in the Hurler Que, and had the video of Wayne and Garth giving ride instructions. That was funny. It atually Mike Myers and Dana Carvey in it!

Then maybe they can put the baby-doll parts back up in the station, and paint the flames on the sides of the cars again. (That had early-90s written all over it! B) )

I remember riding Days of Thunder and thinkin it was frickin awesome! I definetly wouldn't mind riding it one last time! 007 and Spongebob are both pretty good. I liked that 3D one with the superhero's where you got pulled into that computer or something and there was that part where you kept getting knocked from platform to platform......does neone know what i'm talkin about? I like that one alot.

P.S.- Hey, has anyone rode Elvira's Superstition at Scarowinds? I LOVE THAT ONE! I think Superstition is better than most of the one's they have all season!!!

Yeah, Superstition was really good. I saw it at Paramount's Canada's Wonderland couple years ago in the summer. It was better than a lot of the normal movies they have during the season at Carowinds!
