Keep in mind that Cedar Fair started deciding on and putting in attractions, for all former Paramount Parks, starting for the 2007 season (took ownership of the parks on July 1, 2006). The earliest that CF could put in a major new steel coaster would have been this year 2008.
Canada's wonderland - site prep/construction of new B&M in 2007 and opens in 2008 (probably made decision and planning in fall of 2006).
KI - site prep/construction of new B&M in 2008 and opens in 2009 (probably made decision and planning in fall of 2007).
KD - my guess is that we will probably see our next major coaster in 2010. (decision/planning this fall 2008; site prep/construction in 2009; opens 2010).
Carowinds - my guess is that you will probably see your next major coaster in 2011. (decision/planning the fall of 2009; site prep/construction in 2010; opens 2011).
CGA - Up in the air with this park.
That is part of a pattern that I am seeing. Also, look at the distribution of the used GL coasters. KI - 2007; KD - 2008; CW - 2009; Again it is just what I see as a pattern for CF in installing coasters in the former Paramount Parks.
