Both last Friday and this Sunday, my last two trips to the park, The Hurler was closed with both trains sitting on the transfer table. Anyone know why?

Both trains on the transfer track? Thats odd, but they may have left one out to inspect or maintianance and the other may be the storage because it isn't needed. The only time I have seen both trains on the transfer track is when they added more padding to both trains in 2006 in order to prevent injuries after a dozen riders came off bleeding over a two day period.

It was also closed last Tuesday, the last day of daily operation.

There is no way they would ever scrap the Hurler!!! The track is probably loose from all of the dry weather. It was really rough the last time I rode. Maybe all the rain will help and it will be open this weekend.

I do believe they were joking, Hurler isn't going anywhere for now.

It isn't going anywhere, but what are the chances that Cedar Fair is gonna give it some love and do a complete retrack. They put some love into Thunder Road. With some TLC Hurler could ride much better and draw more people over to that side of the park.
Just a thought, but with the "new" addition coming that may not happen either!

After getting 10 rides opening year on Voyage, I have to ask... why not make the first turn after the drop into a 90 degree banked turn?

If the PTCs on Voyage can do it, shouldn't Hurler's?

Those turns also are very smooth and don't kill you like the one on Hurler can at times. Something about the fact that you are basically weightless for a second.
