Jonathan and Carowinds Connection were mentioned in the Charlotte Observer alone with the article about Carolina Cobra.

I saw the article and Jonathan's name mentioned with CC.
At least you didn't pull a "Paul Ruben" and lie about this being the best investment, coaster, thrill ride, ever to grace Carowinds. In so many words, at least I got what you really wanted to say, as I know you are as disappointed as I am. Nice to see you didn't kiss up and say what "they" would have rather you said. 8) Leave that for the a$$ kissers at Amusement Today.

^Quote:
"There are about 60 boomerang coasters worldwide, including at 3 other Cedar Fair parks, which means the Cobra likely won't lure far-flung coaster fans. But it should pique interest locally, especially since the closest similar ride is about 6 hours away, said Jonathan Hawkins, a Belmont native and coaster aficionado who runs the CarowindsConnection.com message board. Even so, it's not the kind of long-term big splash the park could use, he said. They're still kind of in a holding pattern, almost, he said. I think most people are still going to be waiting on the next big investment."

OK< I guess you can delete this post since someone found the link....

Oh well I missed my 15 minutes

I'll just have to settle for knowing Jarvis.

I still wonder how she found my site, as the traffic is quite small.

I actually liked the article. They told the truth for a change. No one tried to make the coaster something it is not. I sensed that even the powers that be at Carowinds are not very happy with it as they struggled to say good things about it. Remember when Borg first arrived? They were saying things like; first flying coaster......but failed to mention it was used and being relocated.

I could have sworn that Afterburn is 113 feet tall with a 125 feet drop. Also, when did Boomerangs get 8.6 feet taller?

Its not... Its 113 feet. Borg is 116, and CC is 117, or around there.
I have no idea where they came up with the idea of 144 feet... :?:

Maybe Carowinds put something on the top of the lift so it would be higher . . .
