General Carowinds discussion

Isn't it about as scary as watching a Bengals/Lions NFL game??
I have to try and get down there next year, Carowinds just didn't get it done for me.

Just read through this and things I found interesting:

-Kings Island's Dead Awakening removed the hanging scene this year

Well, that was actually all I found interesting

But anyhow, I do believe that all Cedar Fair parks should put up an age limit of 13 for their Halloween events. Is it gonna happen? No, but I know I'd like it...

Carowinds advertises that Scarowinds is a PG-13 event and that the event may not be suitable for young children! It's a parents responsibility to look after their kids. My kid will not be walking around Carowinds by themselves under 16 anyways!!!

It completely ruins (at least for me) why Scarowinds is such a good event. It's the one time of the year when the park stops catering to children and families and focuses more on teens and adults. The thought of CF modifying halloween haunt for children and families really aggravates and angers me for some reason.

Did it ever occur to anyone that the information about the show was just something that a bottom line associate at the park said? Again, no offense to falula, but this is all just a rumor until we see an announcement or talk to an actual park spokesperson...not a line associate.

a-I never said the show wasn't coming back. I merely responded to the ridiculous behavior of parents who get upset because their kids get scared.

b-I am not a bottom-level associate in my department.

Having said that, no offense taken. And, yes, all should wait until there is an official statement saying it is not coming back before assuming that it is finished.

I'm glad you werent offended. I just see alot of park employees on here saying a little too much beyond mere operations. Most likely, a rides seasonal is not going to know forsure whether a show is going to come back for 2009, since that's a corporate decision, or what colors a new ride will be painted, (apparently what a warehouse is next to TR...lol)...

As far as I've heard...SCarowinds will continue to get MORE gruesome and edgy--Bible belt or not. That's the plan, been the plan. If you want to bring kids, there's a Howl-o-Fest event during the day.
