I can't say I am too sad to see it go, I mean there isn't much to it. Two hills and there is really only 1 drop. Good for the entire family, but seems that these things are probably past their prime.
The thing that I wonder is this: Since we have been in a drought for the last couple of years(yes I know, lately we have gotten rain), is it really a good idea using water for this as there is loss along the track, either leaks or splash outs. Not sure how much the rapids would lose to splash outs, but I am sure the log flume built in 1973 wasn't designed to conserve alot of water during droughts.
Is it sad to see something that many of us have riden for the past 20-35years? Sure. Could the space be better utilized with either 1) a better attraction 2)a few nice flat rides 3) A new coaster, I would say yes. Now to see what CF has in mind.
