(Hello everyone new here see my post in introducing myself) I heard the log flume was coming out i can't wait to see what they put in its place I hope we finally get our hyper, also i was looking through birds eye images(msn live maps) and the "Kelidoscope" is just a concrete slab. but in aerial images it is there? does anyone know if they are taking out the "kelidoscope" we already need more flat rides I hope we arent losing another one.

And for dude above there is no way we are getting LZ as cedar fair would have not known HRP was gonna go bankrupt! we are not getting LZ! your source is wrong.

I'm pretty sure they take kalideoscope(sp?) out during the off season, as well as scream weaver.

i hope not, i mean we are in desprete need of some flat thrill rides. I know kelidoscope and scream weaver arent that great but its better than not having them at all. I wonder why they ever took out "Wild Bull" it was small and fast. any one know if it is in the graveyard.?

It is called Rehabing rides in the offseason. Parks are known to take flats apart and do the needed repairs or improvements that are needed.

As for Led Zep, I think we all know or have a clue what is showing up in 2010.

so when we get our hyper for 2010 i wonder if cedar fair is gonna give it a really cool name like " Carolina Hyper" (note the sarcasm) i am curious if it will be a very similar track design as diamondback at KD.

Nope. If the hyper is going where flume was then it will have to be an original layout. Thats awesome.

I am getting a little confused here....

Where is all this 'hyper' talk coming from exactly, other than wild - and I do mean WILD - speculation? All that we know is second hand information that the log flume is coming out (has anyone actually been there to see if it is being dismantled as we speak?) and some PR rep said that a couple of the old Paramount parks are due for a major new ride.

Unless I missed something somewhere, for all we know they could just be building a brand new log flume. Although I doubt this, it has about as much credibility as a hyper being put in that spot. In stead of setting yourself up for disappointment when you find out it is not a hyper, why don't we leave it open ended and start asking the right questions to figure out what we might see over the next couple years. For instance, if what the PR guy from WoF says is accurate, then we should be hearing some info within the next couple of months. Maybe Ms. Dani (by the way, is it Miss or Mrs., I think Jarvis wanted to know ) might be able to give us a little more insight into when we might hear some new and reliable information.

I've already made that joke once . . . that's the reason LZ won't come to Carowinds -- it's not a Vekoma.

I doubt even Carowinds would put in Vekomas in consecutive years . . . or would they?

Everyone can Dream BIGGG .... you never know they take out the log flume and we might get t-cups, and a ferris wheel. how ever the guy from cedar fair announced they were gonna dump 62 million for future ride developments in the older paramount parks... 20 mill to behemoth and 20 mill to diamonback and that leaves 22 mill ( hey i can somewhat do math) but outa the 22 mill we use move dominator, move head spin to us.. and move the other 2 new flat rides from geuaga lake to kings dominion that was announced on their website (ican't rem the rides ) so that leaves how much money left over not enough for a hyper or a new coaster for us in 2010 or is it?? what does everyone else think??
